Netball
On Tuesday G.I fantails played netball. It was a critical game because it was our first game and winning would really boost our morale. We versed St. Mary’s red. I was nervous at the beginning because it was the first time I was playing competitive netball. I played in the second half and I was really glad because then I could see how well St Mary’s red played. I was delighted when our team scored 9 points and St. Mary scored no points in the first half.
In the second half I was WD. When I saw my opponent I felt really pleased because I had a really short opponent. During the game I found out what her name was because when ever somebody wanted to pass the ball to her they shouted “Ella!” and it just made my job easier because I knew when to defend her. I played better than I thought I would so that was brilliant even though my legs were like jelly.
I think my team played a spectacular game because at the end we had 13 points and St Mary’s had no points. I can't wait to play the next game next Tuesday.
