I was sure I heard the sound of a....

was a warm late January morning and I was eating my cereal and looking at the calendar. I could see  that there was only one week before the first day of school. I stared at the vivid red letters on the calendar.

I was going to start college and I was so nervous because when i was in year 8 last year I use to get teased a lot. Jelly belly they would call me and some of the girls would say sing “ oh wait I was sure I heard the sound of a earth oh no I was wrong it is jelly belly”. I would flood my shed of tears in the girls bathroom because I had no friends. I told my teacher about it but they said they would have a talk about it but they never seem to get the chance. Now I was going to start college and I would be living in hell again.

On the first day off college we all had to go around and ask each other some questions about them. I had to interview the most popular girl in the class so far. She swished her long, thick blond hair as she turned to look at me. She said “ hi” to me in her cute soft voice. I was blown away. She was like a barbie doll that I had never had.

She asked me what is my favourite colour and I whispered “ blue”.
“ Omg! me too” She screamed with delight. Then I asked her what is her favourite subject again we both liked the same thing, Maths. We chatted until Mrs Bean stopped us.

After the bell rang she asked me if I would join her and her friends for lunch. I was overwhelmed this was the first time anyone has ever asked me to join for lunch. I was smiling all  the way to the cafeteria. Her friend were all waiting. There were about 6 of us. I was the enjoying the decisions because I could relate to it.

Everyday we began to hang out more and soon she we became best friends. I never even thought  that I would make friends and I never I imagined it would be the populist girl in year 9. All the people who use to tease me in year 8 said that they regret it all. No one ever teased me again.
