                      A day as a Vizier in Ancient Egypt

I am a Vizier the most powerful person in Egypt after the Pharaoh. I give advice to the Pharaohs. I live in the palace with the Pharaoh. I am a very wealthy person because I help the Pharaohs.

I am in charge of of running the government. I wear a long white robe since it is the colour of purity. Enforcing the laws and appointing officials are my daily jobs. I also count all the people for the census and manage the country's irrigation systems. My most important job is collecting tax  to  pay for everything and my decisions are final.

Today for lunch I have peas, cucumbers, onions, meats. I enjoy dates, melons, pomegranates and apricots, which were in good supply after dinner.

I have been doing this job for 15 years and I love it. Sometimes when I am lucky Pharaohs gives me generous gifts.
