Mum stepped

WALT: to use better words

                                         Winning Lotto

Mum stepped in the living room where I was sitting. She screamed her heart out  “ I won lotto!”. I was astonished.  I never knew we would ever win Lotto not even in a million years.

Dad just came from the bathroom and mum ran up to him faster than a cheetah  and said “ we can for fulfill our dreams”.
“What happened? I think you have a high temperature.Go and have a rest,” replied dad. I went up to dad and screamed with delight, “ we have won lotto dad.” He jumped so high that he nearly bumped his head on the ceiling.
“ Can I see the ticket,” gasped dad. Mum took out the ticket and gave it to dad.
“ Lets go and collect the money,” said dad. Mum and dad rushed to collect the money and I was left alone I felt that they were so happy that they forgot all about me.

Half an hour later mum and dad came in with a bag in their hands. I ran up to them and said “what is in the bag?,”.
“ It is the money,” they replied both at the same time. When I opened the bag it was full of clothes. I looked at mum and dad they were so shocked that they both froze like an ice statue.
“ where is the money,” I said quietly.
“ I don’t know it was in the bag when we got it,” replied mum.
“ The bag got exchanged,” said dad. “ Get in the car quickly and lets go to the bank,”

When we got to the bank we ran to the teller and dad explained what has happened. The teller said that they will look in the security camera and see what had happened. We waited for 10 minutes but it felt like forever. When the teller came in she said “when I gave you the bag you putted it down on the ground to sign the form and a lady who had the same bag as yours took the bag accidentally, let me ring the lady and tell her that she took the wrong bag,”. As the teller was going to ring the lady the exacted lady came in to another teller and said that she accidentally took the wrong bag. Mum speed walked to the  lay and said she had her bag. So we happily exchanged our bags then dad asked “ didn't you want to keep the bag knowing it had a million dollars,”.
“ No because my bag was full of my treasures and I wouldn't  give it for even a million dollars,” she replied.

One week later my whole life changed. I got all my wants and needs but I still remember what the lady said. We decided to donate half of the money towards the heart foundation because my grandparents died of a heart disease.
